Situated in the north-eastern region of Vietnam in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Halong Bay area is made up of 1,969 islands of various sizes. You’ll see bizarre shaped islands like Man’s Head Island, which resembles a man standing and facing the mainland and the Dragon Island that resembles a dragon hovering above the emerald water of the bay.
